This week we used the Wash and Glow Germ Detector to look at the germs on our hands before and after washing them.
Before washing.
After washing.
Science Investigation
This is the result one week later. The bread touched with unwashed hands had transferred the most germs. This is why it is important to wash our hands before we eat, even if our hands look clean.
This week Y2 played a game as an introduction to our topic on data handling.
This week Y2 started an investigation to find out if there are germs on our hands and the importance of washing them before we eat.
We had three slices of bread. Jonathan didn’t wash his hands. He touched the bread. Elliot washed his hands before touching the bread. Hattie wore plastic gloves, this is the control.
We will find out what happens next week.
Today Y2 explored the effects of exercise on their bodies. We set the minute timer and counted how many star jumps, sit ups and burpees we could complete.
Today Y2 started to make their puppets. First we drew a design. Then we made a paper template and attached it to the felt. Next we cut out the felt puppet shape.
